By Audrey Nolan World No. 2 golfer Phil Mickelson said Wednesday he will leave the PGA Tour schedule indefinitely because his wife, Amy Mickelson was diagnosed with breast cancer. According to his management office, his wife should be subjected to further tests, but therapy should be started as soon as possible and will undergone surgery and, while Phil will be nearby to help them overcome this difficult situation.
Mickelson had to participate in the Championship Byron Nelson, being held this week and was scheduled to defend his title at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial this week also the next, but still uncertain because of ads. Furthermore, their participation in this year, U.S. Open is on hold while awaiting the results Amy surgery and treatment. Many people who participating in the PGA Tour have already expressed their sympathy with Mickelson and his wife. "We see this mother Amy dynamic, effervescent three children, is very dedicated to her husband and his family, "the veteran golfer Jack Nicklaus said." Nobody, especially Amy, deserves to face the battle that accompanies cancer. But we know that Amy has this incredible inner strength and spirit, and with an unfailing love and support of Phil, they will fight and overcome this obstacle. A cancer survivor Sarah Strange breast, is the wife of former Ryder Cup captain Curtis Strange, also said that she knows Amy will overcome this difficult situation and will move forward with confidence because of his upbeat personality, said it could also share their experiences with Amy because she has been through the same and would give its full support it deserves, as it always has been the support that when her husband was the team captain. Amy and Phil Mickelson in 1992 met and married in 1996.
